IZA STREHAR

Iza Strehar is a screenwriter, producer, and co-founder of Lilit. A Berlinale Talents and Cinelink Producer’s Lab alumna and member of the European Film Academy, she began her career as a screenwriter before naturally expanding into producing through her hands-on involvement in all stages of filmmaking. Combining creative and production expertise, she supports projects from early development to completion, offering dramaturgical and structural insight throughout. Her work as a producer and/or screenwriter has screened at festivals including Oberhausen, PÖFF Shorts, Hot Docs, Thessaloniki, Sydney, Cottbus, Mostra de València, and Palm Springs ShortFest.

ŽIGA VIRC

Žiga Virc is a Slovenian film director, producer and co-founder of Lilit. Known for blending fiction with documentary precision to explore social reality, history, media, and politics. His feature Houston, We Have a Problem! (2016) premiered at Tribeca, screened widely, won top national awards, became Slovenia’s Oscar entry, and was the first Slovenian film on Netflix. He also directed the feature film Shooting Blanks starring Angeliki Papoulia. In 2025, he produced and directed a new feature film Stealing Land, which premiered at Cottbus 2025. An EAVE alumni, Virc is also the author of acclaimed shorts Trieste Is Ours!, A New Home, and Kismet (2025), shown at Toronto, Oberhausen, Palm Springs, and other major festivals. He has received more than 25 international awards and is known for an ironic yet empathetic style.
